MIE received formal notification from Umalusi, informing all suppliers of a price increment on
verification requests.
As a result, verifications conducted via Umalusi will attract the following additional verification
fees:
- Umalusi Symbol Match Verifications - from R42.00 to R55.00 effective from the 1st of April 2015.
- Umalusi Matric Verifications –from R15.00 to R21.00 effective from the 1st of April 2015.
MIE advises that pre-approval to proceed with the additional verification costs be granted. This
will result in speedier turnaround times as MIE will not have to wait for the requesting agent or
user to grant permission.
